A colleague informed me, during a diner with other colleagues, that he was happy with the new “Pop-out Chat” functionality in Microsoft Teams. I was looking at him like “ehh, what…”

I explained my reaction and told him I wasn’t aware yet, as I was preparing some presentations in PowerPoint the whole day. During the talk I checked some blog/socialmedia post, via my mobile, but couldn’t find any information that it was turned on already.

As soon I was back at home, behind a laptop, I tried it myself. Poof There it is, Pop-Out Chat is available for me, in Preview. I noticed that the “Pop-out chat” is only available on 1-1 chat and not yet on the Meetings. 

This is a big step for Microsoft Teams, and it look promising! Hope it will soon be possible for Meetings as well!
